Summary/Abstract: The acquisition of writing is considered on the one hand an important aspect in the evolution of the human species and on the other hand an important step of the ontogenetic development of the individual. The transition from drawing to writing is made progressively throughout history, and their differentiation by the child is made over time as they grow older. The objective of this article is to analyze how differentiation and transition to preschools of the two notation systems (drawing, writing). Drawing is one of the prerequisites of writing acquisition, but it should not be identified or confused with it. Spontaneous activity, drawing appears early in children, while the acquisition of writing, later, requires a long and systematic learning. The acquisition of writing is considered on the one hand an important aspect in the phylogenetic evolution of the human species and on the other, an important step in the ontogenetic development of the individual. If we think that the behaviour of the individual can be understood as a shortening of the evolution of the human species, we can at the same time investigate the convergence between the invention of writing by humanity and its discovery by the child (Bideaud, 1999). However, the child comes into contact with writing from an early age and thus begins to assimilate the first rudiments which will then serve as the basis for her further learning. The child speaks and draws before he knows how to write or read, a precedence that begs the question of the existence of a relationship between these two notation systems. The present article will be continued in in the following number of EAD, 3(2), with the same title (part II).
