Summary/Abstract: This paper is aimed at presenting manners of categorising time in Anna Kamieńska’s poetry. Such poems are subject to analysis wherein the category of TIME plays an important role. The conducted analyses proved that the poetic vision of time is based on its image established culturally but the manners of creating the poetic vision are highly individualised. Hence, time is expressed in spatial categories and is closely related to depicting the human life as a journey in time. In Kamieńska’s works, the most noticeable property of the terrestrial time is continuous and slow movement that is independent of the human will and directed towards eternity. Time is composed of shorter sections (e.g. days, moments, seconds). The terrestrial time is valuated both negatively and positively, whereas eternity – always positively.
