University of Warsaw Library System - a Scope of Cooperation

Summary/Abstract: The integrated library and information system at the University of Warsaw is formed by the University of Warsaw Library (BUW) as a main library and forty seven libraries at the University of Warsaw units (BW) such as faculties, departments and other academic units. The Library Director coordinates the University of Warsaw library system activities.The article presents the scope of cooperation both BUW and BW by focusing on organizational and technical aspects. Particular attention was paid to the cooperation of the integrated library system VTLS/Virtua and to the automated formation annual BW’s reports by using a dedicates unattended database.
