Summary/Abstract: Answering the users’ needs is a reliable verification of quality of information-retrieval tools. The article presents results of the questionnaire survey concerning information retrieval-languages being used in libraries of public higher vocational schools. The author discusses examples of indexed documents, in particular from the Library of the John Paul II Public Higher Vocational School in Biała Podlaska.
