Summary/Abstract: The administrative judiciary and its planned reform have recently been the subject of increased interest in our country, especially in professional circles, but also among the general public, especially in connection with the Czech Republic's forthcoming accession to the European Union. Administrative justice is not an unknown concept in our country; on the contrary, until 1952 it had its own institutional expression in the form of the activities of the so-called Supreme Administrative Court (although in recent years its activities were practically completely paralyzed by the post-February regime). The following article focused on issues of legal basis, organization, subject of review and competence of the Supreme Administrative Court in the period of the first republic of Czechoslovakia is a modest contribution to the reminder of the historical traditions of our administrative judiciary.
