Summary/Abstract: The legal regulation of political parties in the Czech Republic has undergone a similar development as in other states. The question of their legal personality was of considerable importance for their position. The characteristic features of the development, which was so aptly expressed by Triepel, can be observed with some peculiarities in our country as well. Here we also first find a period of suppression of the development of the activities of political associations and then a period of their legal ignoring, especially in the pre-Munich Czechoslovak Republic, even regardless of its developed partisanship. In the Czech Republic, after an era of ignorance, the era of constitutional incorporation - but only the so-called state parties - in the 1960 Constitution came directly. It was only after 1989 that the development of legislation returned to normal.
