Summary/Abstract: This research was carried out in order to measure and evaluate the attitudes of university students toward persons with disabilities. The population of the study consists of 277 university students. Participants performed data form, which socio-demographic data was measured with, and Attitudes Scale toward Persons with Disabilities developed for the research titled “How society perceives persons with disabilities” by Administration for Disabled People (2009). Attitudes Scale toward Persons with Disabilities consists of 43 questions and six factors which are education environment, interpersonal relations, working life, family life, personal characteristics, Competency independent living. As a result of the research, it was concluded that university students have positive attitudes toward persons with disabilities and these attitudes can be changeable according to its grade, level of income, being friend with disabilities, thought of prejudice toward the disabled in society. University students’ attitudes toward persons with disabilities differentiate according to some variables. It is recommended that in order to improve attitudes toward persons with disabilities within the scope of the study, coordinated studies should be done in all areas of communal living, programs should be performed to gain ability for empathy toward persons with disabilities who are in all age ranges living in society, and legal infrastructure supervision containing positive discrimination toward persons with disabilities should be done in order to provide equal opportunities.
