Summary/Abstract: The Ombudsman was established as an institution in Sweden in the early 19th century. In northern Denmark itself, however, it was not established until the mid-1950s. In addition to the general common elements (derivation from parliament, supervision of the state administration on the basis of citizens' complaints, impossibility to overturn directly criticized decisions) the Danish ombudsman shows some differences, the choice of two ombudsmen this investigation in Denmark.
