Summary/Abstract: This research aims to examine the general features, distribution and printing of the Qur’an in Indonesia. This research also aims to examine the characteristic of Ottoman Mushaf and determine whether the original Ottoman Qur’an Manuscripts were found in Indonesia. The primary method of this research is Philology. For example, some original Ottoman Qur’an manuscripts are found in public and private collections in Indonesia, such as manuscript belong to Prabu Diraja, a descendant of the sultans of Palembang. The manuscript was inherited from his family. Based on its decorative and calligraphic ground, this manuscript is outlined as an Ottoman Qur’an rather than an indigenous Indonesian Qur’an. Then we can judge the relationship on the development of the Qur’an printing in Indonesia by finding Ottoman Qur’ans In Indonesia.
