Summary/Abstract: George Sodomka, Charles Miškovský, Louis Herritz and Francis Franciscy – foursome talented goldsmiths working in goldsmith’s guild during the 19th century in Banská Bystrica – are undoubtedly a proof of the viability and highly valued production of goldsmith's products even in the so-called "declining" century for goldsmith's craft and craft in general. All four of them actively educated a new generation of goldsmiths and were leading figures in the goldsmith's guild of Banská Bystrica.
