Summary/Abstract: This article is devoted to the involvement of the Life-Guard Grenadier Regiment of the Imperial army in the Russo-Turkish war of 1877-1878, which took part in a number of crucial battles such as the battle of Gorni Dubnik, the capture of Zlatishki pass, the battle in Pleven. During the war grenadiers tried out new tactics of warfare, and the regiment itself contributed to the liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottoman rule.
