Summary/Abstract: According to Law no. 36/1995 on notaries public and notarial activities, the notary public is invested to fulfill a public interest service and has the statute for an autonomous function. The present study aims to analyze the responsibility of the notary public in the light of the jurisprudence and actual legal provisions, in comparison with other legislations.
