Summary/Abstract: Covid-19 had become the main concern of the world in the few months that separate the first cases and clusters in China and its global spread. The medical emergency occupies the public discourse and fractures the individual lives in sequences measuring the statistical evolution of the pandemic. Social distance and social distancing are among the main “weapons” against the invisible enemy, modelling the individual and collective life in new shapes. The present paper in mainly a work in progress analysis regarding both the inaccurate use of the concept social distance/distancing, and the societal impact of its possible “permanence”.
