Summary/Abstract: Panic over coronavirus has led to many non-medical advice in social media on how to boost the immune system to avoid getting sick. There is currently no proven scientific evidence supporting use of a specific natural food or supplement to improve the human immune system or prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection. However, there are many effective behaviours, nutritional and training strategies that can reduce exposure to pathogens and limit immunosuppression and thus reduce the risk of disease. This study provides information on the most relevant factors that affect the immune system in the scientific literature.
