Religious Communities and Online Communication Challenges - an Example of the Islamic Community In Bosnia and Herzegovina

Summary/Abstract: Modern communication surrounding affects directly or indirectly every person or institution in today’s society. The Internet, with the emphasis on social networks, are posing entirely new communication challenges which are difficult but must be answered to. In addition to challenges for individuals, participants in contemporary communication, modern communication society representatives, the institutions, as well, were entrusted with the highly demanding task of keeping up with the times and active participation in the new media surrounding. The demands of the contemporary media surrounding have become even greater for contemporary media environment. In this paper it would be analysed in what way the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina copes with the challenges of modern communication surrounding.
