Summary/Abstract: This article presents a brief history of Plovdiv’s cinemas from 1944 to the mid-1960s. It follows the fortune of Plovdiv’s movie theatres and the occurrence of new ones. The text gives information about the program, the number of movie screenings and also the number of visitors.
