Summary/Abstract: This paper brings historical arguments in order to create the real image of the king Carol al II‑lea. Even if Carol was accused of the loss of important territories of our country, the facts shows that it wasn’t his fault. Being politically isolated by the biggest forces of Europe, Carol al II‑lea becomes conscious of his defeating, before any battle. That’s why he gave up. Contemporary people, instead of judging, must understand that the history is written with sacrifices.
