Summary/Abstract: Translation can be regarded both as a cognitive process and a set of attitudes and behaviours. Words do not only convey meanings, but also emotions of various intensities. In order to shape different language versions, translators’ emotional responses are essential ingredients. The translator or interpreter covers several stages during the translation process: the text that bears positive or negative connotations, the translator’s inner mood and the reader’s emotions. The main purpose of the present study is to reveal the implications of emotionality for translation work and to explore the impact of emotions on readers.
