Summary/Abstract: The authors attempt to expand the view of the well-known argument from Master and Slave through the prism of comparing the method of analysis of causality in Plato and Hume. We try to demonstrate a certain similarity of the logic of the proof adopted by two philosophers, as well as the research prospects that such a comparison opens up. In particular, it shows the grounds on which a skeptical tendency arises in the Academy.
