Summary/Abstract: Migration is a common phenomenon in human history. The phenomenon of massive migration of populations for various reasons, such as those to escape political pressure, war and poverty, or to find their family and improve their professional and educational prospects, is both a challenge and an opportunity for Europe. As a result of increased border permeability across the European Union, a situation due to globalization, migration flows can be a source of risks and threats, when is not controlled, leading to increased organized crime, xenophobic and racial violence, greater terrorism, etc., thus raising many sensitive issues on European Union internal security, some of them will be addressed in this paper.
