Summary/Abstract: This paper is about a cultural custom in the mountain part of the region Banat in Romania. It is happening in the sixth week before the Easter Holiday, when Christians enter in Lent. It is a cathartic practice that makes people enter with a pure sole in to the Easter Holiday, it makes them get rid of all the repressions and bed thought that they has gathered during the year, so almost everything is permitted, jokes,pranks and funny situations. The practice symbolize the human life, it starts with the celebration of life, the wedding and ends with the sorrow of it’s finish, the death,but everything is being satirized thru the help of the masks that are in many kind like the old, the scary, the funny, or the new inspired from the today’s mass media.
