Summary/Abstract: This paper is a short description of the history of oil extraction on the Trotus and Tazlau Valleys. The author presents the first metods used to extract oil, the way it was processed at the beginning oft he century. It is emphasized role of oil in economic life during the times, its uses and the risk of its lack.
