Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on the terms „light”, „illumination”, and their synonyms based on the Theotokarion, a book of selected hymns dedicated to the Virgin Mary and edited by Saint Nicodemus the Hagiorite. These subjects are examined alongside selected hymns of this Liturgical book, by comparing them to their original Patristic or other sources.
