Summary/Abstract: All our best and most reliable allies are in Europe, as well as Canada and Australia. Everyone knows about NATO’s Article 5, but Article 3 is maybe the most important. It says that “All the parties will maintain and develop their individual and collective capacity to resist armed attacks”. In other words: you will do your own part to defend yourself. Lithuania has earned a place of respect in the administration and in the Congress. And Lithuania has been a leader in that for years. Not just the ability of the men and women in uniform in Afghanistan and elsewhere, but also in terms of modernization efforts. Lithuania has earned a place of respect in the administration and in the Congress.
