Summary/Abstract: The present paper presents the importance of the cultural topics in the curricula. In order to become true European citizens our students need to be aware of the importance of culture in everyday life. School has to teach them what living in a world of differences means. They have to learn in school how to find their identity through culture. Teachers have to motivate them to read, to be curious, to learn to accept and appreciate differences.
