Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on the linking of heritage preservation policies and tourism development, specifically in relation to the cultural landscapes. For this purpose, historic ensembles Blagaj, Jajce and Travnik, that have emerged from the integration of cultural and natural elements are discussed, in particular, the existing plans and legislation related to heritage preservation and tourism strategies. Also, the extent to which tourism strategies are oriented toward heritage is measured through analyzed promotional materials and touristic offers. In the conclusion, the potential for tourism development ensuring the sustainability of these historic sites is given in a closing suggestions and remarks.
