Summary/Abstract: The research paper deals with the search for practical means of enhancing the functional and organizational capabilities of the security police in combating cybercrime. The research paper separately examines the influence of municipal security police on the cybercrime combating system. It also reveals the interaction of the municipal police with the system of national police authorities. The conclusion is that there is a need to introduce municipal security police in Ukraine to increase the flexibility and mobility of law enforcement agencies in responding to cybercrime, and to enhance the level of protection of municipal property that may be targeted by cybercrimes.
