Summary/Abstract: The personality of a musician has a considerable influence on their playing. Deeper ex- amination of this context has substantial potential for use within the framework of the mu- sical-educational process. We focused on the relationship between personality and playing and identifying specific psychological factors which are relevant for musical development, including their place within a broader context of other factors. The research is focused on violinists, but it may be applicable analogously to all musicians.
