On the problems concerning mayors' legal status

Summary/Abstract: The position of mayor of the village has a long tradition in our country. If we look at the legal system at random - even outside the sector of municipal regulation - which was valid and effective in our historical territory, then we find that the institute of the mayor is abundant here, such as Imperial Patent No. 208/1854 of § 270 states that municipal mayors may be used to estimate and auction movable property, or the almost incredible 80 years effective Act No. 117/1884 Coll., on measures on harmless seduction of mountain waters, where municipal mayors are required to provide appropriate assistance to forest technicians in seducing mountain water.
