Summary/Abstract: Current research outlines a brief overview of up-to-date autism spectrum interpretations as a complex social, behavioral and communicative development. Current trends in the problem analysis worldwide are presented. Autism spectrum disorders are classified as Neurodevelopmantal disorders which gives a new look to the issue of etiology, prevention and therapy. At the same time, the article identifies new classification criteria set out in ICD-11, which specify intellectual and communicative development.
