Summary/Abstract: We developed in our school an educational project, called „Us and Europe”. The idea was born based on the fact that Europe is proud of its cultural and linguistic diversity and it is a beautiful continent with a fascinating history that gave famous people in the world. The article analyzes some of the activities through which we can determine the students to expand their knowledge about Europe and the European Union, through their involvement in an educational project on European issues. During the project we created educational learning situations with a valuable formative and educational potential, we determined appropriate teaching strategies to such situations, which were adapted to the students and their life experiences and we highlighted the students’ creative potential. The work exhibited various activities as examples of good practice: Power Point presentations, portfolios, completing the tasks of worksheets, themed quizzes, sketches, press conference, the performance of artistic and literary creations, gastronomic exhibitions, dances, interactive games on computers, activities with students from another country. The project’s activities have been directed as to encourage children to think, to communicate, to be creative, to work, to travel to European countries, to know what it means to be a true European.
