Summary/Abstract: e thesaurus of the exactly 240 Transylvanian Saxon dialects includes many borrowings from Romanian, which reflects the coexistence of the Saxons and Romanians in the same native land along the centuries. The current presentation makes reference to the meanings of the lexeme “haram” (as adverb, adjective and noun) in the Northern Transylvanian dialects as compared to its meanings in Romanian. The Romanian samples are taken from the writings of Romanian authors.
