PLACE OF INFLATION IN GROWTH ECONOMIC CONGO - BRAZZAVILLE

Summary/Abstract: The article seeks to assess the impact of inflation on long-term and shortterm economic growth in Congo-Brazzaville, over the period from 1980 to 2016. It usescertain variables (inflation rate, money supply, price of a barrel of oil, gross fixed capitalformation, domestic credits distributed to the private sector and structural adjustmentprograms) and implements the error correction vector model (VECM). The results of thisresearch show that in the long term, these period-delayed variables impact economicgrowth. Similarly, in the short run, inflation and money supply lagged by one period on theone hand, inflation and structural adjustment programs delayed by two periods on the otherinfluence this growth.
