Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to examine the ontology of time in the works of Thomas Aquinas. In the first part, the paper presents a discusion of the philosophy of time in twen¬tieth century and defines the differences between the A theory of time and the B theory of time as well as between presentism and eternalism. In the second part, the paper provides an interpretation of Aquinas’s texts, which is compatible with the A theory of time and presentism. In the last part, the paper presents and criticizes the approach which interprets the works of Aquinas as being compatible with the B theory of time and eternalism.
