Women Participants of homeland war

Summary/Abstract: This study investigates basic features and the prevailing living problematics of women who participated in the Homeland war. The study sample consisted of 14 female subjects with traumatic war experiences, who were included into the combined psychotherapeutic and sociotherapeutic treatment at the Clinic of Social psychiatry in Sisak - Neuropsychiatric hospital "Dr. Ivan Barbot" in Popovača. Liberation of feeling and sharing experiences with others enabled the participants to elaborate their traumas, integrate them into their emotional experience, and carry on with their lives. A case example is included into the study.
