Summary/Abstract: In the paper, the rules of dimensioning reinforced concrete chimneys accordingto the Polish code PN-88/B-03004 and the European code PN-EN 13084 werepresented. In particular, the rules which are different were described. The example of thereinforced concrete chimney was designed on the basis of two mentioned codes. The resultsof calculations were presented and compared
