Summary/Abstract: Act no. 79/2017 is a long-awaited legal standard. This standard was to be implemented into national legislation as recommended by the Framework Directive 2008/98/EC as early as 2010. It has brought many changes in the view of municipal waste management, puts the waste management hierarchy into operation, and closes the Recycling Fund.
