Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes Russia’s strategic interests and subsequent actions in the second half of 2019. Russia wishes to maintain and strengthen its influence in the post-Soviet space, the Middle East and Africa, and to this end it makes use of development diplomacy, characterized by economic assistance and defense cooperation.
