China’s Silk Road to Europe – Strategies and Investment

Summary/Abstract: This article argues that Chinese overseas direct investment is not so much market-driven, but a result of long-term strategies and policies. These are an important basis in any analysis of the status and trends of Chinese investment in Europe. Therefore, the article aims to describe the most important strategies and policies that determine Chinese foreign investment in general, different market entry models, and to analyze the situation in Europe.
