Summary/Abstract: The represented research "Counterterrorism policy in Georgia" is dedicated to the study of counterterrorism policy in Georgia from the independence period up to now. The re-search discusses and analyzes the terrorism challenges faced by Georgia and counter-measures carried out by the government. The attention is focused on conceptual strategies and legislation regarding to combating terrorism. The important attention is paid to the discussion of geopolitical and regional processes, ongoing processes in Georgia and the conceptual framework existing in the country regarding combating terrorism.Taking into consideration the growing threat of terrorism in the world, we consider that this work will become an important source of research for scientist/researchers inter-ested in the terrorism issues.
