Summary/Abstract: The article addresses a theoretical and practical analysis of the Finnish health system, examining the issue of aging population in 2011-2015. The analysis of the impact of aging was performed based on data from Eurostat and the National Institute for Health and Welfare, in order to examine health services for the elderly. The paper highlights that Finland is currently facing a very important problem, namely the existence of a large number of older people compared to the small number of active people. Under these conditions, the government aims to reduce health spending and provide health services at the lowest possible cost.
