Summary/Abstract: The object of study is the Middle Bulgarian Gospel Homiliary, known in science as the Patriarchal Homilier of second type. The Slavonic translation is preserved in numerous manuscripts. The excerption of the first three sermons of the representative codexes (Zograf 134 and St. Troyko Sergieva Lavra 100) is limited to the compounds without any divergences between two copies. The results of the analysis allow us to draw some conclusions about the system of Slavic compounds, as well as to trace their development from the Old Bulgarian to the Middle Bulgarian period of the development of the literary language.
