Summary/Abstract: The article takes up the topic of mystical motif of catharsis present in Plato’s dialogues Phaedo and Republic as well as their links with the mysticism of the Ancient Greek mysteries. The philosophical catharsis is a result of touching the divine, transcendent Truth.
