Summary/Abstract: We consider the application and development of students ́ science process skills an integral part of physics education. In our survey we focused on the development of the science process skills of predicting and formulating hypotheses at grammar school. We describe the process of the preparation of specific activities aimed at the develop-ment of these skills. In the second part we introduce the activity Friction force which is aimed at the acquisition of students ́ hypotheses. In the conclusion we examine students ́ hypotheses and evaluate them with the Hypotheses quality scale.
