Summary/Abstract: Children enter school with their own ideas which should be remodelled into scientifi-cally correct ideas supported by proper arguments. Based on this fact we focused on students ́ ideas. We created a test focusing on primary school students ́ ideas about concepts and phenomena in Hydrostatics. We gave students this test in Slovakia and Hungary and then we evaluated and compared their answers in terms of students ́ ideas and argumentation as well.
