Summary/Abstract: Although most Romanians live in blocks of flats, the socialist heritage is mostly neglected by the decision-makers and also by each habitant. These are the conditions for the appearance of BLOCK. UNBLOCK project, an interdisciplinary endeavor which inquires the specific of block habitation and looks for solutions to improve the quality of life in this urban type of habitation with a serious need for revival. The proposed project is a standing start waiting for its followers. The way the city looks depends on all of us, on the appearance of a new generation of urban inhabitants that will assimilate the space and treat it like a tool for cohesion and change, transforming it for the better.
