Summary/Abstract: The research and the restoration of the mural painting from Gura Motrului have advanced in every room of the church and thus it is necessary to bring forward some new observations regarding the inscriptions, the church’s painters and the restoration problems that have occurred. Regarding the identity of the painters, the restorer Bogdan Bratu has identified in the porch a new Brâncovenesc inscription, complementary to the one in the prosthesis, contains names of the painters involved in the original decoration project, a discovery which confirms our hypothesis on the existence of another important painter named Pârvu, other than Pârvu Mutu, namely Pârvu Fălcoianu. Also, this inscription proves that the painter Andrei was Greek. Key
