Summary/Abstract: Based on examples of good practice at the workshop will be discussed different ways for planning and implementation of appropriate strategies for library advocacy. Presentation includes an overview of important public advocacy skills at the national and international level, strategic negotiations, networking (cooperation, recognition of partners, agreements and coalitions), teamwork and partnerships (leadership, motivation of members). In the context of international advocacy, and the work of IFLA, the role of libraries in the implementation of UN Agenda 2030 will be particularly discussed.
