Summary/Abstract: “What is grammar and what does ‘knowing grammar’ mean to you?” have been the questions given to students who have been studying English as a major and an elective course at university. The idea behind the project has been to see whether the problem of students’ negative attitude towards learning grammar had arisen during their primary and secondary school education and which differences in attitudes towards learning of grammar could be found between these two groups of students.
