Summary/Abstract: This study tries to explain the fundamental problem of national development, the formation of the Romanian people and of the Romanian language is part of a complex and long‑lasting historical process, unfolded on the European continent during the transition from the ancient world to the medieval world. Therefore, for its nuanced understanding, the Romanian ethnic genesis must be reported to everything that happens on the meridians and parallels of the globe under the influence of the Roman Empire. It is said that Rome is eternal thanks to the divinities under the patronage of which it announces its origins and officiates the acts of magnification. But it is also eternal through its hereditary historians – the Neolithic peoples, whose formation is only the end of a universal historical process – romanization. In its turn, Romanization is the most significant result of the Roman state, which changes the course of history for many ancient peoples, and this course bearing the „Seal of Rome” must be known. Regarding this process, we can say that along with it, namely with the colonization and romanization of the Carpatho‑Danubian provinces, began the long and the complex process of the formation of the Romanian people and language.
